To design an elementary school in the suburbs of Montpellier means to design a space where children can not ony be stimulated to education, but also feel confortable and free to express themselves wide-ranging. So the building becomes a playground, a submarine that, along with its partially hypogeal court seems to emerge from the soil. The periscopes are actually chimneys that have the double function of bringing light on the deep end of the classes and naturally aerating the locations, combining aesthetics with functionality.
